Web 2.0 technologies allow the user to interact with a webpage in different ways. Before Web 2.0 it wasn't possible to do this. Now the user can put up content onto a website (youtube, facebook) and they can leave comments and create their own content (blogs).

Examples of Web 2.0 technologies

Blog

A blogger is when you want to make your own website and put up anything you like from pictures to videos. You also use blogger to write anything you want about yourself or other things. People can view your blogger as many times as they like.

Twitter

Twitter is used for posting your own messages to everyone who is a friend of yours so people know what you’re at in life. It can be used for so many different things like letting people know any news that is happening around your own area or around the world or to see what your favorite celebrities are posting about themselves.

YouTube

Youtube is used for adding your own videos so everyone else can watch them or you can watch videos other people have put up.

Facebook

Facebook is a social networking site in which you can talk to all your friends by adding them as a friend. It is also used as a way to talk to new people around the world. You can tell all your friends on it what you are getting up to all the time by posting a message up on your page and your friends can like the message you put up.
